ScottMadden, Inc., a general management consulting firm, has released a new case study focusing on managing information security risks in a shared services organization (SSO). This report reviews ScottMadden’s role in helping a multifunction SSO in the entertainment industry assess its security practices.
The SSO had a typical design, where confidential data moved through many systems and was subjected to multiple touch points and delivery options. Although a security control framework had been implemented by the enterprise, policies and related security controls were incomplete. ScottMadden worked with the client team to identify the risks to the organization’s information and prioritize mitigating solutions.
