Natural Gas Infrastructure Development
ScottMadden, Inc., one of North America’s leading energy consulting firms, recently served as a presenter at the Northeast Gas Association 2017 Regional Market Trends Forum. This one-day event provided a unique platform for leading industry strategists to discuss current natural gas supply and policy issues impacting the Northeast marketplace.
Interstate pipelines continue to advance system enhancements geared to increase access to Marcellus Shale, among other resource basins. The challenges are growing more complex, ranging from longer lead times for development to a more complicated contracting environment.
During the event, ScottMadden, moderated a session focused on the evolving energy marketplace—in particular, the opportunity for pipelines in the Northeast. Seven pipeline and storage companies participated in the session. Panelists from Tennessee Gas Pipeline Co., Enbridge (Spectra Energy Partners), Iroquois Gas Transmission System, Portland Natural Gas Transmission System, National Fuel Gas Supply Corp., Millennium Pipeline Company, and Crestwood Midstream Partners provided brief updates on project developments and discussed marketing and operational issues.
“The conference was well attended with representatives from all aspects of the energy industry. The participating companies are some of the top performers in the pipeline and storage segment and discussed best practices regarding infrastructure development,” said Mr. Stephens.
