ScottMadden, Inc., one of North America’s leading energy consulting firms, recently presented at the Generation and Transmission (G&T) Accounting and Finance Association’s annual conference in Charleston, SC. This four-day event, hosted by Central Electric Power Cooperative, Inc., offered a platform to engage with finance and accounting professionals from G&T cooperatives from around the United States to discuss recent events and trends affecting the industry.
During the event, Todd Williams, partner and fossil practice co-leader at ScottMadden, and Quentin Watkins, manager at ScottMadden, reviewed a recent organizational benchmarking study of G&T staffing. This study examined staffing levels for non-operational positions, focusing on how many full-time equivalents G&Ts require to complete functional area workload. This session, featuring presenters from Georgia Transmission Corporation (GTC) and Old Dominion Electric Cooperative (ODEC), offered unique considerations, highlighted lessons learned, and examined how results were used.
