This event, hosted by the Smart Electric Power Alliance (SEPA), explored the latest trends, issues, and business developments for demand response and its enabling technologies and applications.
Chris Vlahoplus, partner and clean tech & sustainability practice leader at ScottMadden, served as a panelist for a roundtable session focused on SEPA’s 51st State initiative, which seeks to find new frameworks that provide a platform for equitable deployment of distributed energy resources (DERs).
“The 51st State initiative has been a valuable exercise by challenging participants to create tangible roadmaps to navigate the transition to a future with higher penetration of DERs,” said Mr. Vlahoplus.

Additionally, Cristin Lyons, partner and grid transformation practice leader at ScottMadden, moderated a breakout session on emerging models and markets for policy and regulatory evolution. This session examined how a variety of proceedings have unfolded and explained the variety of approaches and conversations occurring nationwide.
