ScottMadden, Inc., one of North America’s leading energy consulting firms, recently joined wind energy thought leaders as a speaker at the American Wind Energy Association (AWEA) WINDPOWER 2016 conference in New Orleans, LA. This event provided a unique platform to discuss the changing industry among policy makers and thought leaders.
During the event, Todd Williams, partner at ScottMadden, reviewed the concept of a playbook for effective operation of generating assets. “Owners of wind generation assets are transitioning from a focus on development and acquisition to a focus on managing a large fleet that may include disparate assets. To continue to be competitive, success in wind will shift to operational efficiency. A playbook approach has proven successful in driving value in conventional generation and offers lessons for wind operators,” said Mr. Williams.
Additionally, ScottMadden featured a poster in the AWEA poster hall highlighting a recent case study where we helped one wind operator apply the concepts of a playbook to improve their safety performance.
