ScottMadden, Inc., one of North America’s leading energy consulting firms, recently joined prominent industry players as a presenter at the Energy Thought Summit held November 12, 2014, in Raleigh, NC. This event, hosted by Duke Energy andZpryme, brought together North Carolina’s thought leaders to debate the state and future of energy.
Paul Quinlan, clean tech specialist at ScottMadden, served as a panelist for the session, “Research Triangle Energy Ecosystem.” The Research Triangle region of North Carolina has long been an area of technological innovation and worldwide leadership. It is no surprise that once again the region has stepped up to the challenge of solving our global energy challenges. This panel featured leaders from some of the area’s foremost organizations, exchanging ideas about North Carolina’s clean energy economy and future growth of the region. Panelists included: Dr. Iqbal Husain of the National Science Foundation FREEDM Center; LeeCongdon of Red Hat; Don Bowman of Wake Electric; Richard Newall of Duke University; and Luke Fishback of PlotWatt. Ed White of Field2Base, Inc. served as moderator.
