This event will include various tracks, case studies, and presentations covering the entire spectrum of finance and accounting challenges in shared services. Brad DeMent, partner and finance and accounting practice area leader at ScottMadden, will serve as conference chair.
Mr. DeMent will present two workshops geared toward the transformation of a finance organization. The session, “How to Build the Business Case for a Successful Finance Transformation and Win Over the Skeptics,” will focus on the essential activities to plan, launch, and stabilize a new finance operation, including critical success factors for building business cases, top-ten implementation challenges, and three keys to post-launch success. The session, “How to Create the Next Layer of Value in Mature Finance Transformation Operations,” will discuss the five-guiding principles to move beyond stage one of transformation.
Additionally, Mr. DeMent will serve as moderator for the panel, “How to Achieve ‘Express’ Transformation: Fast-Track Your Way to Implementation and Adoption.” For those where a three to five year finance transformation roadmap is not in the cards, this panel will focus on how and when it’s okay to sprint to the finish line for the sake of speed. Panelists will include Talyn Kazazian of Rogers Communications and Monalisa Chowdhury of Primerica, Inc.
