ScottMadden, Inc., a general management consulting firm, recently joined forces with ADP to co-sponsor the 20th Semi-Annual Shared Services Executive Forum in Washington, DC. The event, hosted by the World Bank Group, explored ways to enhance shared services and provide innovative approaches to improve operations and increase value to the organization.
The forum featured networking opportunities and roundtable discussions, facilitated by ScottMadden, and focused on topics driven by participants. The intimate format allowed participants to explore topics including cross-functional collaboration and multifunction efficiencies, communicating the shared services value proposition, unique approaches to your shared services workforce, and shared services employment branding.
“There was a lot of interest in how to effectively integrate global shared services operations and the governance needed to do this well. In addition, intelligent automation and its benefits continue to be a hot topic,” said Karen Hilton, partner at ScottMadden.
“Shared services organizations are not immune to today’s workforce challenges from talent acquisition to the development needs of various generations in the workforce. There was a great deal of interest in the creative solutions being applied and how shared services engages with the broader organization to solve these challenges,” noted Jerred Crosby, partner at ScottMadden.
To continue the participant-driven nature of the Forum, the meeting concluded with the group brainstorming topics of interest for the next session.
